REVIEWER GUIDELINES

General Information

TIEE submissions are peer reviewed to ensure they are accurate scientifically and pedagogically. Reviewers are asked to keep a positive and impartial attitude as they provide their constructive feedback. As a peer reviewed initiative, TIEE also addresses the reward system for educational scholarship. Your review is very important and your commitment to completing a review is greatly appreciated.

Committing to the Review

If you are interested in reviewing a Research Paper, Issue Data Set/ Figure Set, and/or Experiment contact the TIEE Managing Editor (TIEESubmissions@esa.org). You will be asked to complete a review by a specific deadline. If you cannot complete this review within the specified timeframe, or if you do not wish to review this submission due to a conflict of interest or other issue, please notify the TIEE Managing Editor (TIEESubmissions@esa.org) immediately so that the managing editor can work to secure a review from another ecology educator.

Review Forms

Please return your review directly to the TIEE Managing Editor (TIEESubmissions@esa.org). The managing editor will send your comments and questions to the editor and author(s) for revising. Any questions that arise regarding the content of your review should be sent to the managing editor and they will contact you directly for clarification.

Criteria

The review form prompts you with criteria specific to each section. Overall, judge the submission on the basis of its utility for college ecology faculty. Evaluate both the educational (pedagogy, suitability for undergraduates) and the ecological content.
